Biting the Bullet...

I've been putting off and putting off switching to the new Blogger - but after all the comment troubles, I decided to go ahead and do it today. So, bear with me as I'm learning the new deal here. If you have any suggestions on this transition, I'd appreciate hearing from you! Thank you!

Ok, so here's my first question - how can I get the labels to show up small under the post instead of part of the post?

I've been a little hesitant to switch- I may just ahead and do it as well. Once I switch then maybe I can help a little better... :)

I have been super hesitant ~ so far it has gone smoothly - but I'm holding my breath so to speak.

So I think I figured it out- first you have to upgrade your template to the new version- so click on "customize design" on the template sections.

Once you do that there is a page elements section in the template. In that spot is where you can move around the order of the items (instead of doing it in the HTML!!). In the part where you can edit the post section you can move the labels to wherever you want. I liked having the labels under the name because I'm not able to put a space between the label and the post when it's under the title.

Does that make sense? I switched and it's a little easier than I thought it would be... ;)

you won't lose your links, you would only lose things like my books I was reading and stuff like that. But, just to be safe, copy the html so that you can add it later. There will be a space later where you can html code. Or it gives you other options of things you want to add.

Yikes - I switched the template over and then clicked on customize - I like the options they provide. But, I don't like that I lose all my links (mine all disappeared) and can't figure out how to get them to appear again. I also do not like the underlined title look though I do like that it moves the labels under the "Posted by" line. I think I'll just be content for now and not do too much messing with it yet. And, I think it makes the previous posts section look ridiculously choppy. I notice it didn't do those things on yours - so who knows! One step at a time I guess...
